Someone once said the road of life has many twists and turns. This is certainly true in my life’s journey. At seventeen, my doctor told me I had rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, my health quickly deteriorated. The following years, filled with medical appointments to control my symptoms and surgeries to repair damage from the disease, put a hold on going to college and working.
